The summer swing is slowing down around these parts, which means I have a bit more wiggle room in my calendar than usual.  It was a fortunate event that my session scheduled for Saturday evening got moved to Friday evening (and actually had me thinking I was going to get 2 days off in row!)

Then during one of our daily chats, my associate Kalen asked me if I knew of Molly.  Molly and her family were down here in PCB for the week after doctors told them to take a week off and enjoy some family time before heading back home to start more radiation and immunotherapy.

Molly just turned one a few weeks ago and has been battling stage 4 neuroblastoma since she was about 5 months old.

Being that I do volunteer work for the Magic Hour Foundation, Kalen had approached me to see how to get Molly’s family in touch with them.  I knew there wasn’t enough time to go through the process, so I reached out myself to see when I could get them on the beach.

Saturday Night.
I was meant to be here, in PCB, with no plans (I did have plans that I made wait on me!) and be here for Molly and her family.

We met at sunset, we played trucks, we hunted seashells, we snuggled A LOT, we laughed (I cried) and left with the most beautiful parting gift.  The knowledge that I have shared my gift with others, that I have helped this family create beautiful memories in their favorite beach location and that I am certain in knowing that I am following His plan for me.

“There is strength in her heart, determination in her eyes & the will to survive resides within her soul. She is a warrior, a champion & a fighter.”- Molly’s Mama, Chelsea.

Please, give their page a follow at “Payers for Molly”.  Keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

You can find her on Facebook too.
