Trusting Your Photographer

When you hire me as your photographer, I ask for one very important thing- for you to TRUST ME.

Being a photographer is my job. I have spent years learning and practicing and perfecting what I do. I am on the beach every single night, in the same 2-3 locations. I have memorized the light in each location and know the exact time it is best to be in each spot.

With that being said, I ask that you TRUST ME. Trust that I want the very best out of your session. Trust that when I tell you we should meet at 7:30pm, it is for a reason. Trust that when I tell you I won’t meet you before 6:30pm, it is for a reason. Trust that when I say “we are on” for our session after an entire day of severe storm warnings, it is for a reason.

This picture was taken tonight just after 8:00pm, after a terrible day of storms. I shot both sessions tonight as scheduled and we had a gorgeous sunset.

Did I know it was going to clear up in time? Not really. All I can do is watch the radar and make my best guess. But I DID know that once it cleared out, THIS is what we would get.

So please, if you hire me, trust that you are hiring a professional who will do whatever she can to make sure you receive the very best from your session. Just relax, let me “do my thang” and capture your family for you!
